A world of study abroad: the UK Student Solutions News – June 2021
Welcome to the June edition of our newsletter, with news and opportunities for studying abroad, courses, schools and scholarships.
1. The “UK Student Solutions & LAL Language School Scholarship Journey”
We officially launched our language training and scholarship mentoring programme on 2 June. We had a live broadcast presented by Veronica Martire and Jacy Costa, in association with LAL Language School in South Africa. This programme, aimed at Portuguese-speaking students, particularly from the Lusophone African countries, is unique and aims to develop the potential of those students who are working hard to get an international scholarship. 2.
Kings Schools
Registration is now open for Foundation courses starting in September or January. Given the travelling restrictions still in place in several countries, Kings has relaxed the process for arriving at the school this year. If you have not got your visa by the start date of your course, you will start your course online and travel to the UK as soon as they issue your visa. The school will welcome the enrolled applicants until December 2021.
Calling all students interested in Arts!
Kings’ directors announced recently that three schools in the group have become approved centres to deliver the acclaimed UAL Level 3 and 4 ‘Foundation Diploma’ in Art and Design. This qualification prepares students for admission to UAL. Plus, it is recognised by the leading art colleges in London and across the UK.
Kings Brighton, Kings London and Kings Oxford will start teaching the approved programmes from September.
But, what is UAL? It is the University of the Arts London, ranked the second-best university in the World for Arts and Design, according to the QS 2021 World University Rankings.
In this “Foundation”, or pre-university programme, you will choose specialities such as Graphic Design, Photography, Architecture, Fine Arts (Drawing, Painting, Sculpture and Printmaking), Fashion Design, Interior Design, Textile Design, Animation, Product Design, Games Design or 3D Design.
In the UK, when you apply for university courses in creative media, arts or architecture, you must submit a portfolio of your work as part of the admissions process. Kings will give you full support and guidance in building up the portfolio that will showcase all your potential.

3. And the subject is Sports!
With a lot of attention focused on the sporting tournaments that have resumed recently, such as the Roland Garros tennis championship or the European Football Championships, we ask:
Have you ever thought of turning your enthusiasm for sports into a successful career in business, management, or communication?
Even more so, studying at one of Europe’s leading business schools, in Germany’s most prosperous city?
Following our new association with Munich Business School, UK Student Solutions now represents their Masters Business Sports and Communication.
Taught entirely in English, this is an 18-month course including a semester abroad (at an MBS partner university) and the development of your dissertation or research within companies in the industry such as Adidas, Puma, BMW, or the club FC Bayern Munich.
There is partial funding available for prospective students, making this programme even more interesting.
Graduates from this course work in companies and organisations such as Sky Sports, BMW, Red Bull F1, Bundesliga, Bayern Munich, in the Gaming industry, Adidas, etc.

4. Sunderland…where is it?
At UK Student Solutions, you can count on the expertise of people who have studied and worked with the British university system.
So, avoiding the tradition of more conservative agencies, we can introduce you to some excellent institutions which may not be as well known as the traditional Oxford and Cambridge duo – but with world-class research and training programmes.
Over the next few weeks, our focus will be on the University of Sunderland, branded by its students as a “Super Cool” university, with a tradition in engineering, business, clinical medicine and education, established in one of the UK’s cities of culture in 2021.
Besides other qualities, Sunderland, founded almost 900 years ago in the North East in England, is one of the cities with the lowest living cost in the UK and most affordable education. It also has the best quality of life index for young people up to 30 and has been voted the best place in England to start a new business.
The university plays a crucial role in the regional industry, with outstanding academics, laboratories, state-of-the-art facilities and innovative programmes geared towards the 21st-century job market. We will tell you more about the institution, the city and the programmes we represent – not forgetting that enrolment is open for September and January! If you don’t want to wait, contact us to find out more!

5. Scholarship of the Month

It is a scholarship aimed at female candidates. It is the “ULMS Women in Football Scholarship” for the Football Industries MBA at the University of Liverpool.
The “Football Industries MBA” (established in 1997) covers a wide range of disciplines, including sports strategy, innovation, economics, marketing and governance. Successful applicants will gain an in-depth insight into the sector and the real challenges of the sports business. The university will accept only candidates with professional management experience and a solid academic profile.
MBA graduates (male and female) are currently working in top football clubs, government agencies, commercial and media organisations in Europe, Asia, America and Africa.
This initiative aims to encourage reflection on the topic and actually increase the number of women playing executive and decisive roles in a still male-dominated sector, sports clubs, or sports-focused companies/organisations.
Find more about this scholarship and more scholarships in our website.
That’s all for today, folks!
We hope you enjoyed the news and keep in touch!
