We are a new consultancy service  proposal, supporting and advising candidates to general language courses, academic, business and professional courses.

More than enabling student exchanges, our aim is to offer bespoke consultancy, helping you to plan all the details of your training abroad.

We have not only a comprehensive and long experience of working  within the British education system, but also we worked with student management, including the UK universities’ admission  process, admission to work placements, visa requirements for students  and admission to suitable scholarship programmes. We are specialized in supporting international students covering financial advice, welfare, adaptation to academic life and career advice.

Unlike more traditional agencies, our work does not end when you arrive in  your country of destination, but the support will continue until you return home, as we are based in London, helping you until the end of your training.

In Guatemala, we represent the school La Unión, in Antigua. This school has an innovative and pioneering programme combining their exclusive One-to-One  Spanish teaching programme, general activities, volunteering, and Academic programmes and Work Placements required by universities worldwide.The  academic and professional training are accepted as credits in universities worldwide,as the school is certified by the Universidade Rural de Guatemala.

In the UK, general language courses start from 16 years old. For younger pupils  Summer Schools can be organised –  from 10 years old, in schools where they will live as boarding school students, supervised by teachers and school staff and attend a number of activities as sports and visits to point of interest. Those programmes last  usually from 1 to 4 weeks.

There is no age limit for learning and we have programmes that will attend different age groups. Whilst most of our students are aged between 18-30, we have had mature students pursuing professional English courses, postgraduate degrees etc. The blend of ages, nationalities, professions and interests of our students makes their experience unique.

For  language courses or short term courses- in order to have a wider choice of courses and accommodation- we recommend you to book as soon as  possible. New language courses start every Monday all year round. However, for courses longer than 6 months, we recommend that we book at least 2 months in advance to allow enough time for visa processing. The same advice applies to candidates to Spanish courses in Guatemala.

For pre-university, graduate or postgraduate programmes applications will be made well in advance, as the academic year will start either in September or January. Not only the candidates credentials will have to be assessed by the schools and  accepted,  but visas must be issued in time, ensuring you are in class in the first day of school. The possibility of working during your study time abroad will depend on the kind of programme you are going to do, the visa you are going to apply to and the rules of the country you are going to travel to.  For example, in the UK, it is possible for  students to help as volunteers in NGOs, charities or government organisations, as long as they are not paid and there is not a written work contract. However they are allowed  to work if they hold a Tier4 General Study visa. It is very important to talk to us and we will be able to advise you about working while studying abroad.

The traditional accommodation model for language students abroad, is living with a host family (also called homestay). In those homes you usually have your room and one or two meals daily, depending on your course package.You will have the opportunity to practice your English with your family, and other students that might be hosted by the same family. This is the most affordable kind of accommodation for students.

However, it is not compulsory. Many schools have their own residences, and you can opt for renting a room either in a school residence, or independently or even to live in a hotel if it is your choice. At UK Student Solutions, we will help you to find the best choice for you.

It will all depend of the kind of course you are doing, and mainly the kind of visa you have.  In the UK, generally,  visa expiring dates are a few weeks after the courses are finished, allowing you to do a bit of travelling in the country during this time.The most important thing is that you do not overstay your visa.
