We recently visited this amazing institution with a delegation of educational consultants from around the world and were blown away by its vibrant campus, world-class facilities, and outstanding academic achievements.

All international students are guaranteed first- and second-year accommodation on campus, with over 6,000 places available in 17 “halls of residence” or university halls of residence across the campus.     Loughborough is renowned for its sporting excellence and is widely recognised as one of the best universities in the world for sports-related subjects.  It has been the best university for sports-related subjects for six consecutive years, according to the 2022 QS World University Rankings.

The world was thrilled with the high performance of many “Team GB” athletes at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics. In fact, there were an impressive number of connections between Loughborough and the athletes who took part in the games. From actual students to already graduated students, or staff members at the competition. Loughborough was present with over 100 students, alumni, teachers from the university at the events, some working behind the scenes and others fighting for a gold medal.

At 14 medals, including three golds, if Loughborough University were a country, it would have overtaken Sweden, Switzerland and Belgium at Tokyo 2020. Plus, there were even more medals at the Paralympics, with six golds, six silvers and nine bronzes.

All undergraduate courses at Loughborough offer a placement year or study abroad. Scientific Research and Facilities

Loughborough boasts impressive facilities, including the new STEM lab – a UK’s leading centre of excellence for the teaching of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM).
