In Scotland, Hogmanay is an extraordinary New Year’s celebration, filled with ancient traditions and lively festivities that last for days.

In England, houses are decorated with wreaths and lights, while churches hold special services and Christmas markets attract crowds in search of gifts and delicious food. International students can take part in themed events to immerse themselves in British traditions.
However, as we prepare for the celebrations, there is a necessary pause for reflection. In a world where conflicts and wars are ongoing, education is proving to be not only a learning tool, but a powerful weapon for peace. International students play a crucial role in becoming agents of change, promoting intercultural understanding and tolerance.
