Chevening Scholarship: Where did I go wrong?
A feedback from the Chevening Committee about last year’s applications
Applications for Chevening Awards (the UK Government Scholarships for International Students) will open in September 2020.
Many of our students have doubts about answering the questions and filling the forms when submitting their application.
Did you know that in the end of 2019 the members of the Chevening’s Reading Committee assessed over 53,000 eligible applications? The number of applicants approved for the scholarships is around 1,500 per year. This shows the importance of submitting flawless and well-thought answers to the questions proposed by the Chevening Organisers.
The Chevening Secretariat published an article recently, about the strongest and weakest points found in many of the applications submitted last year, according to the Reading Committee.
We believed it would be very helpful to share this information to our readers, as they prepare for a very competitive process and maybe a life changing experience as a Chevener.
If you intend to apply, you cannot miss this. Follow the link below and take notes of their many tips!
